Outside Lands Cancels 2020 Festival, Announces 2021 Lineup: Lizzo, The Strokes, Tame Impala and more

Outside Lands | San Francisco

The 2020 festival season may be completely lost, but some organizers are already looking ahead.

Outside Lands finally announced its cancelation officially for 2020 due to the ongoing concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. At the very same time, however, they decided to give us a look at what we can expect in 2021.

And boy-o-boy are we stoked.

Lizzo, The Strokes and Tame Impala are set to headline the festival, which is scheduled for Aug. 6-8, 2021. Tyler, the Creator, Vampire Weekend, J Balvin, Kehlani and The 1975 are among the other top acts scheduled to appear.

“We are thrilled for the festival to be coming back in 2021. There’s been a lot of bad news out there with regard to COVID-19 and we want to give people something to look forward to,” said Allen Scott, co-producer of Outside Lands.

Weekend passes are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. June 25 on their website . Concert goers can pay the full amount upfront, or sign up for a payment plan that starts at $99 down and no additional payments until 2021

“Outside Lands was created to celebrate the Bay Area creative community and the small businesses that are the fabric of San Francisco’s culture,” says Rick Farman, festival co-producer and co-founder. “Given everything that our community is going through, we will continue that mission with a renewed focus as we plan for the 2021 event.”

Here’s the 2021 lineup:
